Applicants Sought for HealthcareSource New-to-the-Profession ASHHRA Annual Conference Grants

The American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA) and HealthcareSource®, the leader in talent management software solutions for the healthcare industry, today demonstrated their support for tomorrow’s HR leaders by seeking applications for the second annual HealthcareSource New-to-the-Profession ASHHRA Annual Conference Grants.

The purpose of this grant is to provide financial assistance to healthcare HR practitioners who are new in their careers and interested in attending the [2011 ASHHRA 47th Annual Conference & Exposition in Phoenix, AZ, September 10-13, 2011. The grant fulfills a commitment commonly shared by both ASHHRA and HealthcareSource to support the next generation of health care HR leaders by helping to offset the expense of attending the Conference, enabling three (3) New‐to‐the‐Profession HR practitioners to benefit from the unique educational and networking opportunities it affords.

A total of three (3) individual grants of $ 1,500 will be awarded, with grantees selected from applicants who meet these criteria:

1.    Demonstrate financial need for the scholarship

2.    Be a current New‐to‐the‐Profession human resources practitioner

        (five years or fewer of HR experience)

3.    Be an active ASHHRA member
